CH&Co at RSA House

RSA House is the home of the charitable organisation known as The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

An amalgamation of five original Georgian Townhouses, the RSA has a wealth of history dating back to 1774. Today, we offer an eclectic mix of unique spaces. Averaging 120 event enquiries each week, our conversion rate from site visit to contract is 75%.

2017 was the busiest year in RSA history, generating revenues of over £3.2m. In 2018 we had a partial redevelopment of the building for a period of 9 months, taking total sales down to £2m. This year, we will surpass 2017 results, at £3.5m.

Our approach to customer service is warm, relaxed and bespoke, placing the client at ease from the moment they enquire with us.

CH&Co at the Royal Society

CH&CO (formerly Harbour & Jones) is celebrating 21 years as the in-house caterer for The Royal Society – the national academy of science in the UK and the Commonwealth dedicated to promoting scientific excellence.

We believe, our Royal Society in-house catering team should be recognised for their employee benefits, sustainable initiatives and opportunities for creative innovation.

The Royal Society team is headed up by General Catering Manager, Mads Lund Neilsen and features Deputy General Catering Manager, Tomas Such; Executive Head Chef, Dave Pigram; Head Chef, Ty Wiseman, plus a small group of talented chefs, floor managers, kitchen porters and general catering assistants, many of which have been with us for between four and 12 years!

With 12 spaces over three floors, a basement kitchen and two lifts, Mads’ team have to be logistical experts to make sure that food is served efficiently and smoothly across the venue.

They combine this seamless service with bespoke creativity for both venue and client briefs, along with an ever-evolving range of ‘excellence’ initiatives, which keeps The Royal Society ahead of the responsible catering curve.

Delaware North

Grounded in a foundation of family ownership for 100 years, Delaware North have earned a reputation as one of the most admired family-owned hospitality companies in the world. Delaware North in 2015 was appointed to manage the catering operations at The London Stadium at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park — including event-day hospitality catering, the general admission food and beverage offer and the marketing and management of non-match-day conferences and functions. Delaware North pride themselves on working in close partnership with their clients to create unforgettable experience for the “I was there” moments.

Food by Dish

Food By Dish (DISH) is one of London’s leading contemporary caterers with an award winning repertoire of venues, menu’s and clients. Dish annually hosts over 250 events, feeding over 140,000 guests, from high-profile weddings to corporate conferences and client meetings.

The team are proud of the food they produce and ensure they always have a thorough knowledge of all ingredients, produce and provenance. Green & Fortune

Launched in 2008, Green & Fortune manages all catering and sales of events spaces at two iconic venues, Kings Place Events and Sea Containers Events.

Kings Place is a hub for conferences and events selling a versatile selection of 11 spaces with capacity to accommodate 400 delegates in a single space. The range of events includes everything from day delegate conference catering to private dining and receptions.

Sea Containers Events houses six event spaces on the South Bank each with stunning views and terraces across the Thames. Since launching in 2017 it has become of London’s top event spaces regularly hosting everything from canape or bowl food receptions and dinners to summer and Christmas parties for up to 600 guests.

Tobacco Dock Food

Tobacco Dock Food is the in house catering team at Tobacco Dock, one of London’s busiest venues delivering an incredibly diverse array of events From conferences to parties, consumer events to product launches, award ceremonies to exhibitions, the events we cater for cover an enormous scope and variety of capacities In 2018 we catered for 171 live days, feeding 120,000 guests and conducted 33 tastings

Whereas many large catering companies have their own distinct identity, in line with the rest of the venue, we at Tobacco Dock Food adapt our offering to the needs of each individual client. We are a chameleon – like in our approach, really taking time to immerse ourselves in clients’ ideas and objectives. BEST IN-HOUSE CATERING PARTNER

CH&Co (Venues)

CH&CO employs over 6,200 people at more than 750 UK and Ireland locations. We are the exclusive in-house caterer at 31 London venues and livery halls and we manage the event sales diaries at 18 of our London venues.

We pride ourselves on being the most open and honest in-house catering partner. We hold a Royal Warrant for catering services to HM The Queen, and a three-star Food Made Good rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
We also use our expertise to partner with our venue clients in the refurbishment and reopening of these incredible event spaces.

Most recently, we reopened The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich after a two-year £8.5 million conservation project. We also unveiled the refurbished events space, The Prince Albert Suite at ZSL London Zoo.
By 2020, CH&CO will have extended its food waste recording system to the whole business, reduced plastic use by 25%, and rolled out more compostable products.

We aim to serve 15% more vegan meals, increase our herb and vegetable gardens, beehives and bee hotels by 50%, and partner with 10% more specialist suppliers.

Leiths – QEII Taste

QEII Taste is the award-winning in-house caterer at London’s QEII Centre, responsible for catering over 450 events per year ranging from conferences and exhibitions to gala dinners and award ceremonies.

Over the past five years, while the QEII Centre has been undergoing extensive refurbishments and repositioning as a creative events venue, QEII Taste has also been evolving, in brand, style and team ethos.

The QEII Taste team works closely with all other departments, with a ‘one team’ approach, to win, impress and retain clients. The team has innovated with exciting new menus that break the mould of ‘conference catering’ and leading the drive to become a more sustainable venue which the rest of the QEII Centre has followed.

The team has had to overcome the challenge of being viewed as ‘just the caterer’, with little input into other areas of the business, to become a highly valued, and very profitable, part of the overall business, delivering catering that doesn’t just meet client expectations, but far exceeds it.

Moving Venue

Moving Venue is London’s leading event caterer with over 35 years of experience. Our partnership with The Science Museum was extended to make us in-house caterer at their exceptional new venue, Illuminate. Key to this partnership has been integrated working process between both parties – from development to ensure flexible and efficiently run events, through to seeding sales and planning staff on The Science Museum’s events team. This joined-up approach has allowed us to realise ambitious and challenging projects. Including a ‘Then, Now and Tomorrow’ themed party requiring a full venue reset over dinner. The stunning setting has also inspired our catering staff to reconceive classics with an emphasis on sustainability and seasonality. Including turning the traditional buffet on its head, offering a vegan-led selection with meat protein sides. Our client-centric focus means we get our clients the absolute maximum impact for their budget and push the boundaries of what is achievable in order to deliver their brief. Clients comment on our ‘flexibility, adaptability and problem solving’ and how their ‘jobs would be immeasurably harder, if not impossible!’ without us. Our successful in-house partnership is a key factor in enabling us to pull out all the stops for our clients.

Searcys

Searcys, established in 1847, is one of the longest-running catering companies in Britain. Today the venues we operate in include two World Heritage sites, four museums, the largest treehouse in Europe, eleven historic houses and gardens, one global performing arts centre and the longest Champagne bar in Europe. Our illustrious history remains at the core of the Searcys brand, however, our innovative approach to in-house venue catering has ensured that we have remained market leaders in creating brilliant restaurant, café and event experiences.

Sustainability is at the core of the Searcys business. In 2018 we launched our first CR pledges which include buying the best ingredients available and working closely with British farmers and producers to ensure that up to 90% of all seasonal fruit and vegetables used in the menus is grown in the UK.

We celebrate each venue’s personality when creating a bespoke offering which works within their framework but excels their expectations.

Tobacco Dock Food

Tobacco Dock Food is the in-house catering team at Tobacco Dock. They are experts in creating delicious and memorable menus for everything from formal dinners for 2,000 to informal ‘street food’ standing receptions and everything in between. Over the last year they catered for 171 live days, conducted 33 tastings and fed 120,000 people.

The experienced team work alongside clients to produce outstanding dishes. With an extensive portfolio of suggested dishes, they also create bespoke menus to meet clients’ requirements and reflect their brand, whether that’s working with only vegan ingredients, incorporating specific flavours, or through presentation.

The team have a purpose-built on-site kitchen and tasting rooms and work closely alongside the rest of the Tobacco Dock team to make it as easy as possible for clients to create memorable and delicious menus.

Focusing on locally sourced and seasonal produce, Tobacco Dock Food have also made great strides in terms of sustainability, with totally compostable packaging and the avoidance of single-use plastics.

Green & Fortune

Founded in 2008 by John Nugent, Green & Fortune is a multi-faceted hospitality business delivering retail, events and B&I catering across two London venues: Kings Place, overlooking Regent’s Canal in King’s Cross; and the iconic Sea Containers building on the South Bank.

At Sea Containers we operate the Green & Fortune Cafe, Cucumber Bar & Bistro, Sunset Bar & Café, all for the over 2000 employees of the building, as well as internal hospitality and commercial events for six event spaces under the Sea Containers Events business.

Sea Containers Events launched in March 2017, hosting a range of events from 10 to 120 for dinners, receptions for 250, an amphitheatre for up to 200, and a 220 capacity roof terrace Larger events for up to 600 can also be hosted by hiring multiple spaces.

Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn

Providing in-house catering since the late 15th-century, Lincoln’s Inn offers culinary excellence for events. The 48-strong kitchen and catering team, led by head chef David Bush, is responsible for the delivery of delectable and innovative catering for every kind of occasion at the heritage-rich venue.

Lincoln’s Inn, set in a beautifully maintained 11-acre estate in the heart of London, is steeped in authentic grandeur, a noble attribute that is mirrored throughout the venue’s offering. With the rarity of access to archives going back almost 600 years, David and his team blend historic dishes with modern techniques, enabling them to bring the history of the venue to life through food.

Following the estate’s partial closure between 2016-2019, the catering team worked collaboratively with different departments to re-design events offerings with minimal disruption. The additional available time was used to send some of the chefs off for work experience at professional kitchens including Holborn Dining Rooms for exposure at high-end establishments.

The refurbishment project included the redesign of the Great Hall’s kitchen, project managed by the kitchen and catering team, now equipping them to cater for events of up to 700 guests and resulting in a significant rise in banqueting enquiries.

Lord’s Cricket Ground

Steeped in over 200 years of history, Lord’s is the most famous cricket ground in the world. Owned by Marylebone Cricket Club, Lord’s combines the traditional and modern in a unique way – a contrast typified by the Victorian Grade II*-listed Pavilion and award-winning J P Morgan Media Centre at opposite ends of the ground.

Our catering offering is no different. From a traditional afternoon in one of the most historic and famous rooms in sport, to collaborative work with a variety of innovative Michelin-starred chefs, our in-house catering team go above and beyond to provide food tailored to a variety of events and client needs, both on match and non-match days.

MCC aspires to be recognised as the benchmark for catering across sport and leisure, providing outstanding and distinctive food and drink all year round. Led by an award-winning Head Chef, the in-house team are constantly pushing boundaries and continually looking for ways to develop in order to offer the best gastronomic experience for all.

In addition, the significant investment in improving the facilities at Lord’s shows the ambition to continually improve. The quality of the in-house catering, combined with award-winning service, makes Lord’s a cut above the rest.

One Great George Street

One Great George Street has high levels of both new and repeat catered customers. St Martin-in-the-Fields

At St Martin’s we see commercial activities as a way to support our work and extend our welcome. We run two cafés from our buildings on Trafalgar Square, the Café in the Crypt, and the Courtyard at St Martin’s. Our cafés led by Executive Chef Daniel Levy are open to all and provide an oasis of calm in the centre of London. We also open our spaces to host conferences and events and are home to a shop and brass-rubbing centre and classical music concerts. In all these ways we strive to model what it means to be a healthy organisation which plays a strong role in the community.

The Brewery

In 2018 The Brewery made the decision to bring all catering capabilities in-house. This decision was well-received by clients, reflected in the quality of the venue’s food and beverage ratings.

Led by Food Director, Tom Gore, and Executive Chef, Andy Ritchie, the venue’s team (six full-time and 27 casual staff plus 10 agency) develop menus that reflects the high level of creativity and innovation that The Brewery is renowned for.

In 2018, The Brewery served more than 128,500 covers, with approximately 26,000 of these occurring in the three weeks of Christmas. This shows the catering team’s ability to deliver amazing results under pressure, working on up to 10 events a day in busier periods.

Throughout the year, the team often find themselves producing different menus on days that The Brewery is hosting varying events in multiple spaces. Everything is prepared in-house, from pastries to sauces, no pre-made products are used.
